Product Fact Sheets
Ostendo, is designed to enable you to access all business data in a simple, clear and highly effective manner.
The following files highlight this whilst also focusing on a specific area of functionality found with the Ostendo solution.
There is so much data to consider when you’re looking for the ways to make your business run with greater efficiency and better profitability.
The sourcing and managing of this information is one of the reasons many organisations seek an appropriate business management package. Of course, if the chosen IT application fails to provide this required information, in a readily available and clearly presented manner, then you will never achieve what you need and want
Order Entry Process, Sales orders with Ostendo are made easy regardless of the complexity of needs
Inventory
Balancing the need to readily respond to customer demands while minimising the cost of holding unecssary inventory can be something that many businesses
struggle with. And, at day’s end it is, of course, a challenge that goes straight to the bottom line.
The Job Costing module in Ostendo is used to service many other facets of the system and provides the substantial functionality required by organisations that are not simply selling a product or reproducing the same product range repetitively.
Manufacturing is never easy for a small company. Do you capture actual labour costs or not? Do you track variations to expected product costs or not? When the cost of raw materials move how easy is it for you to re-cost (and reprice) all of the affected products (including sub-assemblies or lower-level components)? Can you easily recapture details for product that you manufactured long ago?
Counter Sales or Point of Sale (POS) caters for retail, layby orders, workshop orders and also supports multi terminal and multi branch operations.
In so many businesses the sales team negotiate a seemingly impossible range of pricing deals to match each customer’s wants. In many instances, this would typically demand that all orders are manually priced. That is, unless there is a software solution which can not only handle extreme pricing flexibly but can also be simply and readily updated whenever costs change.
In Ostendo the Projects facility is a simple superset of the Jobs module and allows the definition of a project that will encompass many job records.
This complexity suits staged projects, or large jobs that have detailed reporting &/or invoicing from multiple categories of work or variations that may arise.
Replenishment
Don’t order too much. Don’t leave ordering too late. The conflicting requirements of stock control provide a lot of opportunities for expensive mistakes – too much stock or unhappy customers. Replenishment needs to be simple to run, easily set up and must have extensive visibility so you can have the confidence that the orders being placed are right.
When combined with its versatile Job Module and/or the CRM module, Ostendo’s Service functionality can powerfully drive planned servicing, plant maintenance or breakdown servicing in a way that suits a highly diverse range of industries.
Suppliers
For many businesses, having ready and immediate access to third party suppliers’ catalogues is crucial. In particular for sales and order entry staff whose ability to instantly refer to this key data may mean the difference between a sale and a lost opportunity.
