Print this pageWhen Epitome was formed, almost ten years ago, our aim was specifically to address the business computing needs of small and medium companies.
We were born out of a passion to provide such organizations the kind of software they needed to compete and to grow.
Our founders had certainly had considerable experience with the successful installation of large ERP systems for big corporations. But it seemed to them that nobody much was really addressing the IT requirements of the substantial and dynamic SME end of the market.
Sure. If all a company needed was basic accounting, then there were several perfectly competent software packages available.
But what if the company had a strong manufacturing focus? Or if distribution was a pivotal activity? Or if it had a substantial service operation? Or if project and job costing was of fundamental importance?
In all such instances, it was very clear that the computing options being presented were totally inadequate. And so very significant parts of many businesses were unable to enjoy the potent advantages of IT and to do so for a reasonable investment.
In championing this cause, we formed a long term relationship with the like thinking Development-X software development house. Another organisation with exceptional experience with ERP solutions.
